Yeah that’s one of the things I hate the most about these folks. They come up with all of these names that sound official, scientific and fair. From the title you would wonder, how could anyone argue with that? It is a lie from the very start designed to pull people in - to their own harm.

Of course, if they actually advanced sound science, they would be telling you how terrible cigarettes are for you. Of course if they had any conscience whatsoever, any honor, any morality, they would tell the truth about the science.

The Advancement of Sound Science Center (TASSC), formerly the Advancement of Sound Science Coalition, is an industry-funded lobby group which promotes the idea that environmental science on issues including smoking, pesticides and global warming is “junk science”, which should be replaced by “sound science”. It is operated by Steven Milloy from his home in Potomac, Maryland.
