Here’s the Marist poll table, and it indeed shows that 53% of Manhattan residents support the construction of the Cordoba Initiative near Ground Zero. The other boroughs oppose its construction by hefty margins (53% and above). That’s the only metric in the poll that finds support. When broken down by every other characteristic, there is little to no support (age, race, income level, education or religion). Note too that religion doesn’t include those self-identifying as Muslim so there’s no gauge as to how fellow Muslims feel about the proposal. The only other identifying metric that comes closest to support is that 49% of liberals polled support the endeavor, whereas 38% are opposed and 12% are unsure.
