The picture it paints, in light of the video, is pretty clear: A police department and a state attorney’s office that was stonewalling any effort to get the Martin family justice.

For the next two weeks, lead investigator Chris Serino pursued a manslaughter charge against Zimmerman.

We were discussing last night the plausibility of Zimmerman’s claim that he didn’t talk to a lawyer for a month after the shooting.

That the police were pursuing a manslaughter charge for two weeks subsequent to the shooting (something I hadn’t heard before) makes it all that much more implausible, IMO.
