Several people were shot at an East Oakland college this morning and police warned that the gunman is still on the loose.

The shooting happened at Oikos University, a Christian school, at 7850 Edgewater Road about 10:40 a.m. Police received calls about people running out of the building and screaming.

Police, including members of the SWAT team, are taking up positions around the building. Paramedics were carrying people out in stretchers.

Police officers could be seen smashing in glass doors with sledgehammers and rushing into the building.
