OK, so I’m putting my address into an online job application, and one of the countries I can be from is “Democratic Yemen” (No Longer Exists).

Turns out I can also be from the USSR (No Longer Exists), and East Germany (No Longer Exists), and several other places.

Why don’t they take them off the list? It’s not birthplace, it’s your current address.
