Excellent article. It covers part of what I was referring to more generally in my Page on honor killing victims the other day:

Not only do these groups have a negative impact of the efforts of Muslim women’s rights activists, they also hobble our ability to effectively combat external, global terrorist threats as well as home-grown extremism.

They’re not doing anyone any favors, least of all non-Muslims. The sooner people wake up and realize that, the better off everyone will be.
