The US is just awful compared to other countries when it comes to infrastructure, including the digital age infrastructure.

Part of that is likely the sheer size compared to many other countries, but part of it is just greed, I think.

Of course, trying to point this out makes you a liberal elite.

Or a person in a rural area with no infrastructure. (We’re still waiting for paved roads, never mind cell service.

The last Federal highway paved in the USA (US-183) had its last unpaved section here completed at the end of the Sixties.
