The GOP is now the party of neo-Confederates

Max Boot certainly has been a vociferous never Trumper. I believe he briefly had hopes that Trump would not govern as he campaigned, but that hope did not last long. However, I don’t believe he is one who understands that Trump was the logical heir to the decades of Republican malfeasance starting with Nixon’s courting of the South and his interference in Johnson’s peace attempt in Vietnam.
