So, you’re saying psychological abuse from these practices (which most children that young have no idea of whether they’re right or wrong) is perfectly all right because it’s a “religious” practice?

If that’s what you’re saying, you’re wrong. It always affects kids when religious practices are forced on them in this fashion. Even the words people use in exercising their religion can have a profound affect on children. I can absolutely testify to that fact.
