So a wingnut friend posted the stupid meme telling leftists to shut up because of the composition of the votes on the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments. First off, it’s great that the Republicans not only voted for that legislation but spearheaded its passage. I love Lincoln for that. Secondly, stop acting like the two political parties are vaccums and unchanged from they were 150 years ago, and thirdly, a lot of Republicans today have a problem with the 14th amendment and its application.

Once again, then your friend would have no problem removjng the statues since they were an affront to the ideals espoused by those amendments?
