The analogy I made was Meatloaf:Germany. You don’t seem to get it, and I don’t see how to make it more clear.

I think you’re missing the point. Had Germany ended with Hitler, then that would have been what Germany was and is and maybe forever would be. Meatloaf did not turn his thoughts around, Germany did. He was a trumper to the end, and it killed him.

What exactly am I missing?
