Ant update: after coming home on Monday night to discover the catfood absolutely crawling with them, I have been waging war.

We haven’t seen them in the kitchen after cleaning up the feeders/mopping the floor between there and the bathroom they’ve been coming in through. Today I picked up some borax at the supermarket and mixed up a borax/sugar water solution. Cotton balls soaked in that are currently in the bathroom. The ants seem …partially interested.

I don’t have any peanut butter in the house or I’d do up some of that as well.

In the meantime, the cats have been disturbed by the appearance of the mop three times so far this week (normally they’re in hiding when the housekeeper is here) and are continually whiny because the feeders aren’t producing their food, dammit.

Fingers crossed something fucking works.
