Good morning Lizards.

Had an unscheduled “no computer day” since Thursday. Apartment building had a planned power outage then to replace some electrical equipment. However, when they brought the power back on it appears some piece of Comcast-owned equipment did not come back up successfully. So no cable TV or internet until late Friday afternoon when they finally got things working again. (And I opted to read books Friday night instead of be on-line.)

Finished _The Martian_ . It should go on the Recommended List on Books for Lizards. Good sci-fi treatment of a survival adventure and it grabs and keeps your attention. And the basic scenario is very well set up in the first six pages.

On the browser front I traced my CPU/memory eating issue to the Flash players. Disabled it in Chrome and the browser is much better behaved. I suspect that it is essentially the same issue with Firefox. And why these were eating up much more memory that the site comparing 10 browsers said they would use - since they didn’t evaluate plug-ins.

Also plan on doing a walkabout tomorrow with the camera to take pictures of preparation work for the Papal visit to Philly. Lines of port-a-potties everywhere.
