I understand perfectly someone going “wow, this guy’s getting a little political and seems to be angling for a step up on the political ladder”. There’s a case for that

Claiming that he’s responsible for this crime, that he could have done something to magically prevent it, is really the sort of thing that you gotta give up on. There’s no calories there, no real discussion can be had, I don’t argue with obeisant talking point stenographers, and that seems to be all Tradewind is at this point. I argue with real people :D

He’s getting a little political because he’s a politician. Just like other officeholders, he chooses a party and runs for office.
