How does cutting spending make a private company hire more people?

If there is no increase in demand for their products, nothing will make companies hire more people. This is why tax cuts for the rich won’t create jobs either. But hey the modern GOP exists to do four things: cut taxes for rich people, gut the social safety net for everyone else, regulate what people (especially women) should do with their private parts, and stoke the fears of older white Americans about changing demographics. And you can’t expect them to abandon their core principles and reasons for existence.
