We win by not allowing afghanistan to backslide into the chaos that was evident before 2001. If we leave and abandon the people who are trying to drag their country/religion out of the dark ages then we’ve wasted the last 10 years.

If we wanted we could focus on the largest population centers and let the drones handle the mountains then we have a shot to change their entire culture. If not, then heaven help those poor people.

Is that not what we’ve been trying to do these past 10 years?
I mean, most to the Taliban retreat into Pakistan.
It seems we’d have to be there permanently to keep the current status quo. Which sucks, since Karzai not much better than the Taliban.
