“Free”? Inez, honey, employee health insurance isn’t “free” to begin with. Your boss is not providing it out of the kindness of his heart, it’s part of your compensation and is given to you in lieu of higher wages. And your employer doesn’t cover every cost, just his part of the “contribution.” You still have to pay part of the premium, alongside the co-pays, deductibles, and every little bill along the way. “Free,” my ass.
