Heh. You haven’t seen me when a game’s on. I’ve cursed so many of the refs for idiotic calls all through this Cup. And yes, the replay thing has come up. Repeatedly. ;)

Still, it’s fun for me. I enjoy the matches and really get into them. My boyfriend was utterly confused about why I cared so much during the US - Algeria game. It’s not that he didn’t want the Americans to win, he just doesn’t get my love of the sport.

I was absolutely over the moon yesterday. Today was bittersweet — glad to see the Italian diving national team going home, even if it was an insane game, and sad that the Kiwis got eliminated. New Zealand showed a lot of promise and played with a lot of heart. I’ve got high hopes for them in four years. :D

Oh, and don’t worry. I won’t kill you. ;)

For someone who bellyaches about the game, i seekritly could have been mistaken for a face-painter, i was so entranced. Only the Isner-Mahut affair kept me from watching more. And i’m going to whine some more, and then you’ll find me sitting rapt in front of the US-Ghana match like the hypocrite that i am!

Am i right to like our chances there? I’m hard-pressed to come up with a better matchup for us than Ghana in this next round.

Yeah, i liked the Kiwis’ gumption too, but i think that Paraguay plays a prettier style of ball, so I’m sanguine about that trade-off.
