I’m rooting for chaos; hoping we get deep into January without a Speaker while Republicans tear into each other. My guess is that once again, McCarthy will be passed over for Speaker, and it couldn’t happen to a less worthy scumbag.

I’m not sure how much chaos I want but I live in a dream world where someone on the Republican side makes a solid deal with Democrats in order to get elected Speaker. Something like no Hastert rule, there will be a vote on anything that gets at least 10 R and 10 D supporters, some committees chaired by D’s, certain R’s not given committee chairs, etc. Like I said - a dream world.
