Other than Canada, none of the states we import most of our oil from are thriving free-market democracies. And it is detrimental to our long-term interests to continue to support regimes like Chavez or the Saudi princes.

If Canada is an oil-rich nation, produces all of its own oil and exports to other countries, why does gasoline in Canada cost $6/gallon?
