In the US, the law bans people under a certain age from pornography and pornographic material. We have ratings on movies, music and games to keep explicit material out of the hands of children. We do it for the good of society.

But when some guy suggests banning the Koran, a book that explicitly calls on followers to kill nonbelievers, in Europe, a place full of ‘nonbelievers’, a place that already restricts the disemmination of specific truly facist literature, this ‘some guy’ is denounced as a book burning fascist fanatic. And all for the ‘good’ of society, no less.
