I enjoyed tonight’s Roosevelts much more than last night’s — his first two terms, the Depression, New Deal, and the lead-up to WWII (including the King George visit that was the subject of that movie last year — that’s Elizabeth’s parents, right?). FDR begging Congress to change the neutrality law and let us sell arms to the UK, the isolationists thinking it just had nothing to do with us (or am I being unfair? I obviously have the benefit of hindsight, but he saw it coming so why couldn’t other people?)
