Apparently Mello signed a letter supporting the Keystone Pipeline. That’s a brightline issue for many of Sanders’ supporters, and would by itself be enough reason for them to attack Mello if he were one of Perez’s favorites that Bernie wasn’t supporting.

Like I said, it all comes down to hypocrisy.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Mello slipped Bernie some money for his endorsement. Because the man is anathema to everything Bernie supposedly stands for and he’s excommunicated other Democrats for far less.
