Well, maybe McCain not understanding economics wasn’t his fault but he could have had better economic advisers you could argue. Every candidate has an issue where he or she’s not the best on which is why it’s important to have smart people srurrounding you. I recall one of McCain’s advisers, former Senator Gramm who basically derided all people making noise about the economic troubles were as “crybabies” and whosever idea it was to make “JOe the Plumber” the focal point of criticism of Obama’s tax plan was foolish too.

John McCain doesn’t have to be strong on economics himself but his advisers should be able to get him to produce reasonable sound bytes at the very least.

Much of what I heard from him however was just more of Bush’s economic policies which got us into this mess in the first place, so I sure as hell didn’t see how they’d get us out of it….
