I still remember back in ‘08, when Obama pointed out that his opponent and his critics would make his race an issue, the wingnuts got into a tizzy because “OMG, he’s playing the race card!!” And for much of his presidency, they snickered that he wasn’t a “true black president” and asking black folks “where’s your messiah now!?”

Now? They’re shocked and outraged that he was on camera, 6 years ago, talking about the black community and black people.
