I’m reminded of Dark Falcon talking about his father, who despite voting Republican, “plants trees” and stuff.

I get the feeling that among Romney voters, whatever native common sense they have extends only to their back yards. To vote time and again for scientific ignorance indicates a willful lack of foresight.

It’s the US vs THEM mentality. If nothing else, you’d think the global economy would the meme that helps them to understand that it’s all WE now.

Global communication, travel and the state of the Planet may be too obscure for the conservative minded —but the economy!!! That should make it rather clear -no?
