Fox would be crowning President Romney “King for Life” had he presided over this.

No shit. Through the Bush years, as gas shot past $2/gal and headed for the ceiling, we were told that it was temporary, then we were told that it was the “cost” of freedom, then finally we were told that it was just more reason to “drill, baby, drill.”

If gas prices fell under President Romney, we’d be told that it was just proof of the success of conservative policies. It would be proof that Keystone was bringing down prices like predicted, or it would be proof that his foreign policy was making us safer, or it would simply be proof that oil companies trusted him to protect them from “greenies.”
