Right, same thing now with Obama (as well as Bush and Clinton before him). He clearly wants to officially recognize the Armenian genocide, but there’s a lot of lobbying from Turks against that. And of course Turkey is a much bigger country than Armenia, and more strategically important, so nothing usually happens.

Keep your eye on April 24…it’s the day Armenians commemorate the genocide. The debate usually heats up around then.
