Obama couldn’t possibly compete with the rousing crowds the GOP candidates are attracting. Romney’s campaign rallies will be off the hook don’tcha know?

Here are some photos from the event which the LA Times article didn’t inlcude.

Maybe Romney will have to pick a loon like Cain, in order to fire up the gop base (which has never been that into Romney, and after 4 years of trying, probably never will be.) Then again, we all remember how well that strategy worked for McCain-Palin in 08. So Romney might stick with a more traditional pol.

Every pundit and commentator thinks he’s Nostradamus with his/her “Obama is on the ropes” prediction. But the simple fact is that Presidents rarely win re-election when the economy sucks, so making a forecast of generic Republican in 2012 is not especially perceptive or daring. This all makes Republicans excited and hard, but it’s not the result of anything compelling they’ve actually done themselves. It’s the result of the worst global depression in 80 years, one that no one really has any answers for. (I guess the gop can take a little credit for rat fucking Obama every chance they got, but that’s neither a sustainable governing philosophy nor a solution to our economic problems.)
