But you can bet that the GOP is going to try to lay the blame at Biden’s feet, even though the exact same thing would’ve happened in the Spring under Trump’s withdrawal timetable. Biden was correct to not just let this continue to fester after 20 years of war, and the timing is good politically as well. No-one in America is going to give a damn about Afghanistan by the time the midterms roll around.

We know they will. Biden knows they will. Maybe we should be like Biden on this and say we had to do what we had to do and leave it at that.
