I wasn’t insinuating anything :)

Thus the wingnut font tag.

Well, I suppose I missed the snark?

Anyway, I’m a 72 yr old. Regardless of what older people tell you, we lose a lot of our reactions and timing as we get older. Even as good a driver as I think I am, I’ve had a couple of close calls which brought me down to earth, and which were entirely my fault and failing perceptivity, such as the other day when I was in line, had to back up a bit, forgot the car was in reverse, and started off, almost hitting the car in back of me. It was a stupid mistake and a breach in short-term memory. It has made me far more cautious.

Whenever I feel that I no longer have what it takes to be a safe driver, I will give it up and let someone else take over. I’m not stubborn enough to think I can drive as well as I did even 10 yrs ago. It’s not just physical but also mental issues that older people suffer, and the sooner they realize it, the better off we all are.

It ought to get very interesting as the Boomers age.
