We shouldn’t let Nick Fury off too easily, either. He built up Shield into the greatest weapon Hydra ever had, AND got the Tesseract all nicely set up for Loki.

Fury’s mortal sin in the MCU was the opposite of Stark’s though, trusting the people around him too much vs not trusting them at all.
