I have to admit it always pisses me off when these political conventions start with a prayer. What ever happened to the separation of church and state? Not even the Democrats honor this concept any more. This is wrong. But evidently I’m in the minority here, because nobody else seems to see anything wrong with it.

Not that bothersome—as we say, it’s a private club. I have nothing against the invocations at all our AL Dem events, as long as they don’t let the long-winded offer the grace before BBQ.
