It pisses me off to hear poor people in this country having it “so good” because they don’t live in third world conditions. Actually, some do.

Worse in some ways. If you can put up a tarpaper shack and at least have someplace to sleep without paying some rentier through the nose every month, you’re ahead of a lot of people in this country. Not to minimize third world pverty, but different countries, different problems.
