Friends are great, but any more than a few is completely unnecessary and often dangerous, if you want to avoid drama.

Wow. That seems a lot like ex post facto reasoning to me. I’m glad that I have as many friends as I do— for example, moving to New York, I’m comforted by how many friends I have living there already, and they’re helping me find an apartment, navigate the odd tax codes in NYC, etc. etc.

Can you explain how your point went over my head?
