States’ Rights is the battle cry of people who haven’t actually read the whole Constitution — they don’t seem to realize that the 14th explicitly limits the scope of the 10th.

And sometimes they are just plain stupid about it. Like when Rand Paul says there is no basis in the Constitution for a Federal TSA because the Constitution never mentioned airplanes and so by default any jurisdiction relating to airplanes is reserved to the States.
