Yep, I was thinking the same. Really the GOP was actually interestingly enough more closer to being a fiscally conservative party when they were actually a more liberal party overall.

Their economic policy has been poisoned by the supply side economists and the Laffer Curve, despite all empirical evidence that this policy is an abject failure.
