An attempt in my Page to point out that an extremist (Trump) can go so far as to lose very valuable allies on the same side of the aisle… (Yes Luntz, Reagans, Bush’s) can not possibly have any credibility in this instance? Your premise apparently claims only people not Republicans can honestly reject Donald Trump at all. A subtle ad absurdum is in play there. The most extreme position cannot be distanced from or denounced by the relative center? I see that claim made about Muslims and the jihad militants by Trump.
