Current town hall ‘enthusiasm’ keeps being compared to the Tea Party malignancy in ‘09.
Dem. politicians had to cope with that irrational anger, seeeecret muslim hoey, etc. Do you think being confronted with reality based, upset constituents, who know the issues and can form coherent sentences, is more threatening to R’s? I was taken with someone yelling, in response to Rep. flanneling on, “we are not stupid, answer the question.” Part of me thinks that this would be much more unsettling than people wearing T-bags, talking nonsense, tho as we know crazy/hate is effective Other part thinks that R’s disregard this sort of thing because Dem. response is always so diffused and fades at the ballot. They are currently trying to marginalize with the ‘paid agitator’ narrative, but (aside from Trump) R’s know that this is real unrest.
