I don’t think there is any connection. The plague of killing of the first born during Passover, God passed over the houses marked with blood, is the only death really in the holiday. Other than a lot of drowned Egyptians.

The holiday, Passover, to us is about freedom, btw.

They had a special about that on NatGeo. Had to do with a volcano.
