re: #255 Belafon
. My kids bodies are not entirely theirs right now: If I caught them drinking or smoking there would be hell to pay. The momâs punishment is not physically permanent. Sometimes, the only way a kid will learn not to touch a hot stove is when they touch a hot stove. Sometimes, the only way to teach someone to walk in another persons shoes is to actually make them walk in the other personâs shoes.
Would you force the child to drink or smoke until he pukes? probably not. You would use a different form of punishment that is not physical. And, shaving a childâs head doesnât teach anything. Walk a mile in her shoes is not a viable form of punishment. Itâs vindictive.
