I’m curious what the new miniseries adaptation of The Stand is going to look like. The novel was originally published in ‘78 with the events set in ‘80, before the “uncut” version was released in ‘90 with the events moved up to the same year. And the ABC miniseries came out in ‘94, which was before the Internet Boom, which meant most forms of news broadcast were still either TV or radio. So how a book written when computers were still largely the realm of business or hobbyists is updated to the Digital Age should be interesting.
