Kates style is not my wifes thank goodness, but even if it was that doesn’t justify infidelity. Multiply the damage when many young children are involved. Neither gets parent of the year in my book… .

and you’re obviously not John. He has responsibility in this, too, for allowing Kate to run the show with hardly a peep most of the time, until things reached the point where he and Kate couldn’t stand each other.
