re: #285 Sharmuta

I had to step away, but you said better than I could have hoped to in what I was thinking while I was getting some air.

I’ve seen what happens in real abuse cases, and this story reeked from the start. A child brave enough to escape her tormentors doesn’t run off to a church half the country away.

I’ve also seen what happens when the charges of abuse are leveled falsely. It’s difficult enough for a parent to go through. I cannot imagine what it’s like to additionally be placed in the spotlight by agenda driven fanatics, and the people who injected themselves into this for reasons of ideology and ego should be ashamed. However that type of personality lacks that quality altogether, so it’s futile to expect shame would be forthcoming.

There is really only one question for me:
What is in the best interests of the child?
All the rest is political crap.
