We perhaps find patterns because they are there to find.
We find patterns real and imagined. This is why we use the scientific method to test if the patterns we see are real or not. A lot of things people believe are just the result of errors in the brain. Alien abductions and fairies for example, appear to be caused by abnormal activity in the frontal lobe. We suck at discerning whatβs real or not.
