Well I think part of that is candidate driven too. I’d like to see higher turnout but at the same time, I do want better candidates. Not speaking for your state in specific because I have no idea what the candidates were like on the Democratic side but I understand apathy a little if people feel like they have nothing to vote for.

We had some good ones and some meh ones. But, they had little money and no media exposure to speak of. Most of them worked their asses off, going all over the state to town halls, rallies etc. The Republicans pretty much ignored them and bought tons of media. In our House district, the Republican (who is still in his first term) refused to even debate our candidate—and the media said nothing about it. Nobody called him out, nobody blinked.

It’s really disheartening.
