That’s rich. I don’t recall that the long necked dictator’s dad, Hafez Assad had any interest in the human rights of 25,000 people in Hama.

The Muslim Brotherhood, progenitors to al Qaeda, Hamas and other Islamists around the world, threated Assad. Assad’s response was simple.

Obliterate the home of the Brotherhood in Syria, Hama.

He called in his army, which pulverized the entire city. They basically plowed the entire city under. No one demanded ceasefires. No one demanded human rights be respected.

Israel, of course, believes in human rights, and puts its own soldiers and civilians into dangerous situations to avoid hitting Gazan civilians. It extends the conflict, and more Palestinians and Israelis are injured as a result. But no one cares, because it’s Israel involved and the double standard is standard operating procedures for the nations of the world and the media that has its memes and sticks to them.
