Correct; I should have clarified by saying the “San Francisco Bay area”; but that might include some conservative areas…wait, do those exist there? It’s a serious question, as I’ve never visited.

It depends on how you define ‘conservative’. People in Richmond aren’t hippies, but they all vote Democrat.

There are no real Republican-voting areas of the Bay Area, except for wherever the Alameda County Republican Club meets on the first Wednesday of every month. We have Republicans, they’re just geographically scattered.

If you go north, or inland, you come to more conservative-leaning areas.
