I certainly wouldn’t support anyone as conservative as Manchin if he were to run for a primary against any of my current Reps and Senators. But since he is not running in my state, it’s a non-issue. I doubt Republicans have any liberal or progressive politicians left in any state. Perhaps Collins or Murkowski fit that bill but they pretty much vote for all of Trump’s policies so not sure how they differ much from other Republicans.

In my state Jane Raybould is running to unseat Trump-supporting Sen. Deb Fischer. For Nebraska politicians she is a leftie, but in blue states she would not be considered so I imagine.

That said, should she win she would move our state further left than our two current senators. As much as a lot of liberals seem to hate incrementalism, it seems to work better to change minds than a sudden radical shift.
