Americans do not understand terrorism, but they sure do understand the word war. So, war it was.

I’m of the opinion that it’s nearly impossible to get Americans to do things in concert unless there is a war. That’s why ‘War on Poverty’, ‘War on Terror’ etc.

It reminds me of a dysfunctional family sometimes. They’re always fighting with one another but outsiders don’t dare intervene because the family will react as one to the intrusion.
